I stand my feet slipping through the slats
I'm fed powdered milk to make me fat
My only scenery's metal bars
Not for me the sky or the stars
Apparently I will soon be veal
Nobody bothered to ask how I feel
I will be hung up by my feet
To yield expensive lighter meat

They cut off my beak then gave me a home

I‘ll be better in plastic on your market shelf

It's a very nice poem.
But there are carnivore that also eat meat.
They hunt, and flesh is their primary food.

The only difference in my opinion is that animals grown by people have no options. They have no freedom. They cannot run from us.
