joy to the world
the lord has come
let earth receive her king
let every heart prepare his room
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing

joy to the world
the lord has come
let earth receive her king
let every heart prepare his room
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing

joy to the world
the lord has come
let earth receive her king
let every heart prepare his room
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing

joy to the world
the lord has come
let earth receive her king
let every heart prepare his room
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing

joy to the world
the lord has come
let earth receive her king
let every heart prepare his room
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing

joy to the world
the lord has come
let earth receive her king
let every heart prepare his room
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing

joy to the world
the lord has come
let earth receive her king
let every heart prepare his room
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing
and heaven and nature sing

if slaughterhouses had glass walls
everyone would be a vegetarian

as long as there are slaughterhouses
there will be battlefields

for as long as men massacre animals
they will kill each other indeed

he who sows the seed of murder and pain
cannot reap joy and love

I have from an early age
abjured the use of meat
and the time will come
when men such as I
will look upon the murder of animals
as they now look upon the murder of men
