Ingredients 1 cup fine semolina
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon raw cashew nuts
1 teaspoon dry sultanas
2 cardamom pods, freshly powdered
2 strips saffron (optional)
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar (measure of sugar is according to taste, but not too sweet)
Instructions Dry fry semolina on low heat in a saucepan till aromatic
Set aside the semolina
Heat butter in same saucepan, add split raw cashew nuts, sultanas and roast till aromatic and light brown
Add semolina, sugar, saffron and powdered cardamom
Stir gently, add milk and let it combine well on low heat without making lumps
Check for sweetness
Serve hot or cold
TIP:
This sweet dish can be made with pineapple pieces in it and it gives it a delicious taste of fruit
