A while ago, I watched a documentary film concerning Dr. Max Gerson's controversial vegan diet, anti-cancer techniques. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the film.
Anyway, an animal caretaker, who was cradling a full-grown lynx (bobcat) in his arms at an animal sanctuary, said that this particular animal expels all of its meal in just two hours or so. By contrast, according to him, humans can take up to three days to do the same.
Our bodies were designed to keep in food longer, so that our system can take advantage of utilizing as many nutrients as possible. This suggests, by and large, that we were designed to feed on a plant-based diet.
This is great, as I see it; because, being vegetarian, I can be both healthy and look an animal square in the eye with a clear conscience.
