Carrots, Mangos and all vegetables that contain beta carotene are good for sight.
Also black-currant, blackberry, blue berry are good for eye sensibility to light.
But a good sight isn't only about sensibility to light it's also about focusing.
Myopia i.e. shortsightedness is related to this specific tasks of the eye.
The eye muscles which are responsible for focusing are like any other muscles in the body and they can be enhanced and strengthened.
So how do we train our eye muscles?
Very simple as we train other muscles.
Warm Up, Strain, Stretch and Relax.
Warm Up exercises for your eyes' Health:
First of all before you start exercising your eyes it is important to
get nutrients to the eyes that come through blood. Here are some
exercises to get a good rush of blood to the eye region:
1. Head Rotations
Rotate the head slowly 10 times in one direction and 10 times in
another. Breath deeply. Try to relax the entire body. You can close
the eyes. You should feel how your neck stretches pleasantly on every
rotation.
2. Head Turns
Turn the head along the vertical axis slowly on exhalation in one
direction, on inhalation return to initial position and repeat in the
opposite direction. Breath deeply. Try to relax the entire body. You
can close the eyes. You should feel how your neck stretches pleasantly
on every turn.
3. Head Bends
Bend the head forward and backward as well as to sides using the same
principles as in previous exercises. You should warm and stretch well
the neck muscles to stimulate the blood circulation to the head area.
You can also warm up you shoulders to enhance this effect before you
start exercising the eyes.
4. Stand on head
This is taken from yoga. It's a simple position on head upside down.
This exercise is very good for eye capillaries. It is also good for
brain. Repeat it several times. Starting from 40 seconds per stand and
increasing the time to 5 minutes. Breath deeply. Be careful if you
never did this before. You can get very red eyes after this exercise.
It's a good sign, it means that you have weak capillaries and this
exercise is very useful for you. In 2 to 3 weeks of regularly practice
you will have much stronger capillaries supplying more nutrients to
your eyes.
After warming up well the shoulder and neck area we are moving to warming up the eyes themselves.
1. Eye Movements up and down
Keep you head straight and still. Now look up only with your eyes, then
look down. The head is always still. Repeat 10 times. Breath deeply.
Try to relax the entire body. Now close the eyes and do the same
thing.
2. Eye side Movements
Keep you head straight and still. Now look to your left side only with
your eyes, exhale and look straight inhale, then look to your right
side exhale, again look straight and inhale. The head is always still.
Repeat 10 times. Breath deeply. Try to relax the entire body. Now
close the eyes and do the same thing.
3. Eye Rotations
Rotate the eye slowly 10 times in one direction and 10 times in
another. Breath deeply. Try to relax the entire body. Imagine that you
are drawing a big circle with your sight - the bigger is the circle
the better. Now close the eyes and do the same thing again with closed
eyes. |

Fish improves digestive heat, appetite, eyesight, tumors, wounds and memory.
Carrots are equally good
and also some preventive measures like not watching tv from close, not to strain your eyes, etc |

Many seamen wear glasses because they spend a lot of time in the sea.. where they don't have too many objects to concentrate on.. so they look for far away land and become farsighted. _________________ Andy`Ba

Hi ,
I feel inspite of eating carrots or puting eye drops in the eyes to cool them, after a certain age degeneration does set in no matter how much care we take of our eyes.. This is a natural process where all the basic functions of our body start failing which happens to our eyes too but yes we do need to take care of our eyes as much as we can.
Putting rose water drops in our eyes is very soothing and cooling and is herbal and safe to use.I use this daily and its good. |
