It is nice to talk to you again, BigBecka :). Oh, my, that does not look like good traveling weather at all! Around here, the weather has been very rainy, but not nearly that bad. My summer has not been too exciting at all, unfortunately. Stress, due to a lot of family problems, has been keeping me ...

Hello Again, Everyone!

Hello to all. I just wanted to let you all know I did not forget about this place. I have been a bit busy lately, but I am definitely going to start posting more. How have all of you been? Do any of you have anything new to share? It certainly has been a while.

Vegan Cheesecake

Good day, everyone. I recently made this recipe I found online as a dessert for Easter dinner, and I HIGHLY recommend you try it out (if you have access to all of the ingredients, that is). The original recipe came from this link: http://www.vegsource.com/talk/recipes/messages/10000871.html , howeve...

That is a great topic. Personally, I could never eat a rabbit or any other animal, whether I had to kill it myself or it was already dead. That is a tough situation, though, because as BigBecka said, you don't know what is poisonous and what is not when you are stranded in a foreign area. I think th...

The only information about the effects of dairy that I have read was in a chapter of our textbook about why breastfeeding is better for babies, but I have noticed that there is a LOT of research articles on the internet about the problems with dairy. Most of the people in my course agree that breast...

11?! The lucky sods! :D I had breasts at nine! (My mother was part of the 'eating dairy every day - every meal most days - to prevent osteoperosis' brigade) If society won't ban dairy, they can at least start making bras for children! :protest: That is early! I'd say that I was around 11. I agree w...

I don't agree. Why shouldn't we drink milk or cheese? They are some very healthy aliments, rich in Calcium. If people consume them for a few thousand years, and there wasn't any loss in cow numbers, I think that this shouldn't be a problem for anyone! Don't assume that milk and cheese are as health...

Thank you for sharing that about Amazon. I will have to check their grocery store out some time soon.

Have fun watching "Lord of the Rings." It is a great movie (or trilogy, I should say!)

I just tried Tofutti's cream cheese, and I have to say that it is not bad at all! I think that I actually like it better than regular cream cheese. I am going to attempt to make a vegan cheesecake soon :toothy4:.

I just thought that I'd mention that I was on Tofutti's website a few days ago searching for local stores that carry their products and luckily found a couple! I used to be an extreme cheese-lover before going vegan, and I've been craving it lately (especially cream cheese). The store that is closes...

I am not exactly positive if this is the only reason why tomatoes are considered a fruit here, but I believe that I have read somewhere, or heard from someone, that it is due to the fact that tomatoes have seeds. Apparently, every food that contains seeds is now considered a fruit. Most stores here ...

I still consider tomatoes vegetables, although I often seem to get attacked for it . It is strange how some people are so sensitive to that, or maybe they just don't like the fact that I am stubborn :-?.

Re: The Killing Of Animals For Food Is Not Morally Wrong

Would it be reasonable to ask a lion to justify his killing of an innocent gazelle? Of course not: it is natural for the lion to kill the gazelle and that is justification enough. And what of a gazelle's right not to be eaten? Put this way, you can see that such questions are really meaningless. Th...

Favorite Recipes

I enjoy getting new ideas for cooking, so I was wondering what everyone's favorite vegan recipe is. If you have more than one to share, or if you have a favorite site for vegan recipes, that is even better :).

And the only solution I see is to promote vegan lifestyle as much as we can. Especially among hot babes :D Well, if all of the vegans are female, what am I supposed to do :-?? I think that us veggies are lacking more in males than we are females, which is a major inconvenience for us ladies :(.
