Re: Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment

Suppose there is a mathematical problem which takes about 4 hours to solve if the person is asked to sit down and solve it. If the same person is asked to plough a field for 4 hours and simultaneously solve the problem he won’t be able to do it. Even a great mathematician cannot do that. One ...

Indeed that link contains hilarious things. The Bible Condemns Abstaining From Eating Meats Well here is a quote from bible: Genesis 1:29 And God said, See, I have given you every plant producing seed, on the face of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit producing seed: they will be for your...

For me it's about freedom as an universal principle. A tamed dog can become free if it runs into the forest :) Since it does not, I have to assume the dog doesn't understand the principle of freedom. I'm not sure it is wise to treat animals as you treat people. Just imagine that animals have the sa...

That's exactly my point and that's why I've asked about bacteriums. Making too much fuss about killing looks just hilarious.

Re: Genetic basis for lactose intolerance revealed

AndyBa wrote:how can it be?
to suffer from something and not realize it?

There is a point. It doesn't mean you shall feel pain in your stomach. It can happen that you eat something and it just doesn't get assimilated well. So if you would know about it, you would probably choose to eat something else.

I think there is no scientifically evidence of garlic influencing mind. I suppose you mean the classical, occidental science. Do you want to say it knows much about mind? I have to disagree. In capitalist countries medicine is a business, and it's a very profitable one. Same about the pharmacology....

All right, I'll explain.
When you eat vegetables, they contain bacteriums. Are bacteriums meat or not?
On the other side, most bacteriums eat rotten (!) flesh themselves.

Not exactly.
I confirm this by my personal experience.
Yogis were the first ones who classified food in three categories by the effect it has on the mind.
